Bea’s Story
In my mid-40s, my health conditions had started to become overwhelming. I have Cystic Fibrosis, joint pain, neuropathy and I am in peri menopause. I had fallen into bad health and low mood. Not being able to walk without pain and relying on others for help. I had previously been a very fit and active person. I had tried many different approaches, but nothing really worked. I found Tris and under his guidance I have gained not only strength, but my energy levels, mental health, balance and control have all improved to such an extent that weightlifting has now become a huge part of my life. I now focus on what else I am capable of; I push myself and am constantly surprised by what I can achieve. I no longer use aids to walk and the limp I had has almost gone. The neuropathy is vastly improved, and I expect to see further improvements as I get stronger. I have never felt this good in my entire life. I am 49 and I feel like I have just found myself!
Dad’s Story
Yes, It’s my Dad, Theo.
Dad had lots of aches and pains after a lifetime of physical work repairing cars. With a full knee replacement lined up we started pre-hab work - getting strong before the operation. Successful surgery we got back in the gym getting strong. Then the hip needed replacing, another good op, then back to getting strong. Aged 78, Dad deadlifted 106Kg off the floor, heavier then before both operations. We train together twice a week and both love it.
